When My Life Changed
Last year I started experiencing unexplained health problems. I didn’t tell many people what was happening, especially not my online community. I’m finally sharing what happened, why I kept it to myself, and why it matters that I share it with you.
This is one of my stories, discovering I have a rare disease.
Christopher is on a big adventure to celebrate our differentness (the things that make us different), because everyone belongs in this world. He’s the founder of Accidental Information, hosts two shows, My Big Story with Christopher Swan and Our Stories Live.
When Christopher is not on a show or looking for differentness in the world, he can be found hiking in the hills around the San Francisco Bay Area, and sending out Our Stories Matter stickers.

Christopher…thanks for sharing your story. I’m sorry for the ways this awful condition has adversely affected you. The tinnitus alone would make me crazy! But I know you haven’t let it stop you from doing the things you care about. And we’re all better for it.

Thank you Benton. I have realized life is full of obstacles – many show up without warning or reason. If we’re lucky enough to have the opportunity to work through them, they become part of who we are and we become stronger. Yes, it’s crappy at times. But, we do what we can and find and create light in the world. Or at least that’s the way I see it.
